Lawrence Foster leads the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir in "La Fanciulla del West", recorded in Cluj, Romania. Melody Moore and Marius Vlad portray Minnie and the stranger Dick Johnson as their romance blooms during the California Gold Rush in the mid-19th century.  Emotions run high throughout the work, and Puccini treats us to a rare happy ending, with the couple setting out to start a new life together.
