Three new releases

Cavalleria rusticana
Just in time for Easter, SFCRC’s recording of Pietro Mascagni’s short opera Cavalleria rusticana was released on PENTATONE. Marek Janowski conducts the Dresdner Philharmonie, with soloists including Melody Moore, Lester Lynch, Brian Jagde, and Roxana Constantinescu.

Still to come in 2020
Marek Janowski, Melody Moore, Brian Jagde and Lester Lynch join forces again for Puccini’s Il tabarro, planned for release in the second half of 2020.

On Unexpected Shadows, mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton and composer/pianist Jake Heggie, with cellist Matt Haimovitz celebrate powerful, exceptional women through Heggie’s song cycles on texts by Sister Helen Prejean, Laura Morefield, Gene Scheer and Gavin Dillard. This recording of "The Work at Hand", "Statuesque", "Iconic Legacies: First Ladies at the Smithsonian" and "Of Gods & Cats" as well as excerpts from "The Breaking Waves" and the opera "If I Were You" will be released in September 2020.
